Buses – There are no public transportation options available for transferring to the airport, but there are a few private companies that provide shuttle transfers to the airport. Durban International Airport has several options for parking while visiting the airport or while traveling. A multi-story parking facility is located opposite the rental car facility located next to the terminal building available for short-term parking on an hourly basis. Long-term parking is available behind the multi-story with one of the two shaded parking areas located in between them. The first 15 minutes of parking in the multi-story are free of charge.

Smoking is prohibited inside the airport, but there are dedicated smoking located outside the terminal. There might still also be a smoking lounge inside one of the food establishments on airside.
